The NEW Collin Classic Routes for 2010
The 19th Collin Classic is a rural bicycle rally that will start and finish at the McKinney North High School on Saturday, June 12, 2010. The ride begins at 8:00am.
Packet Pick-Up and Registration on the day of the ride open at 6:30am.
Offering routes of 4, 20, 27, 39, 52 and 60 miles, this event will attract families, weekend warriors and avid cyclists to celebrate life in a day filled with fun.
Our 4 mile route is a flat loop, designed for the family with kids who are not ready for an open road ride - but want to see what a big bike rally is all about. You can ride one, two or three laps, giving you distance options of 4, 8 or 12 miles. All other routes will cross over US75 and ride out into the countryside of Northeastern Collin County.
NEW Open Road Routes for 2010
Our longer routes will all begin by riding down to McKinney, through the Historic District and Downtown before joining our 2009 routes at MacIntyre. This gives us distance options of 20, 27, 39, 52 or 60 miles. These are all single loop routes . We are travelling to the Northeast portion of Collin County, passing through Blue Ridge, Valdasta, Frognot, Climax, Altoga, Princeton and New Hope. Worried about missing out on the big hill at the finish of our old routes? Not to worry. We have plenty of rolling hills on our routes that will provide plenty of challenge.
The 19th Collin Classic will have:
- High-energy start/finish at the McKinney North High School
- Fully stocked break points along the way
- Support along the routes from area law enforcement personnel
- Roving bicycle mechanics providing technical assistance
- Medical support
- Showers in the finish area (at the high school)
- FREE lunch buffet and refreshments in the cafeteria after the ride
- Post ride massage available (for a fee) in the cafeteria
Bring your family and friends. Come join the thousands of other cyclists for a two-wheeled adventure as we celebrate life.
